I suggest you ...

Do not query the captcha code until the end of the "Add Item" form and not before the form is actually shown!

Isn´t it better to Show the captcha Code (to prevent spam entries) at the end of the form instead of showing the captcha Code before showing the form itself?!?

My customers first want to see what they should fill out before typing in a complicated captcha Code to see the form!

Please think about it.

I would like to deactivate the captcha code altogether, but then again I have tons of spam entries.

However, this could also be prevented if a customer could only make a certain number of new entries per hour / day.

Yeah I also have some users who aborted the form because they had to solve the captcha before they seen the form itself!!!
